Hale School is fortunate to have facilities that have been supported through investment by generations of Old Boys, parents, friends and advocates. This tradition of giving is a reflection of the School community’s generosity, for which we are most grateful.
Like many independent schools, Hale uses school fees to pay for teachers, administration staff and operating costs. Through the Hale School Foundation, we rely on the generosity of the Hale community to help deliver major building projects, provide scholarships and upgrade information resources.
The Foundation’s vision is to ensure the best-quality educational environment possible is provided for all boys seeking a Hale education.
The Foundation’s mission is to foster a culture of philanthropy in the School community to generate funding for capital projects, and to support the educational aspirations of boys who may not otherwise be able to attend Hale School, through the provision of a scholarship and bursary programme.
On the 60th Anniversary of Hale School’s move to Wembley Downs, donors are encouraged to give to the Regular Giving Programme for 2021. Donations may be directed to the following funds:
- Scholarship Fund – Indigenous, Rural, International or Day students
- Building Fund
- Headmaster’s Discretion
- Student Fee Assistance Fund*
*Please note that gifts to the Student Fee Assistance Fund are not tax deductible.
There are many ways you can support Hale School. All gifts, no matter the size, make a difference now and into the future.

The Cygnet Society was formed in 2008 by the Hale School Foundation and the Board of Governors to recognise, thank and honour those who have chosen to remember the School in their Will during their lifetime.
Everyone who informs us that they have remembered Hale School in their Will is invited to join the Society. Importantly, it gives the School an opportunity to thank the Society’s members during their lifetime by inviting them to special events and keeping them in touch with the School.
Please contact the Foundation Office on +61 8 9347 0116 if you have made a bequest and would like to join The Cygnet Society, or if you would like to discuss leaving a bequest.
