Hale Hockey

Hale Hockey Club was originally established by and for Old Haleians in 1905. Today, while many hockey players within our school community are members, the club is open to all players, male and female, from across Perth.

Hale Hockey welcomes boys and girls from five years of age into its Minkey skills sessions, right through to competitive Juniors, Seniors and Veterans.

The Minkey programme, for children in Pre-Primary to Year 2, is particularly appealing for families as coaching does not rely on parent volunteers. Hale Hockey Club players run the training sessions while parents can watch from the clubhouse.

The club, based at Hale School, boasts one of WA’s best wet turfs and arguably the best grass fields in Perth.

Over the years, the Hale Hockey Club has produced numerous state and national players.

Our grounds have also been used for professional team training by the Kookaburras (Australian men’s team), the Hockeyroos (Australian women’s team) and several international teams.
