Drama

Dramatic play is not just for young children, but for all ages. Hale School’s specialist Drama teachers inspire boys to use their imagination, pretend, perform and gain confidence.

Students learn how to apply theatrical skills, from lighting, costume and set design, to playwriting, directing, studying drama practitioners and performing. They also have opportunities to tour and experience excursions and incursions with professional industry practitioners.

Many of our students have pursued their passion further and have gone on to be accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in the fields of design, acting, performance making and musical theatre.

Hale School is also the home of Redfoot Youth Theatre, which offers exciting and diverse co-curricular theatrical opportunities to Hale boys in Years 5 to 12 and girls in Years 7 to 12 from any school.
