The Senior School focuses on supporting students to reach their goals, preparing them for their chosen career pathway and equipping them for life beyond school.
The teaching and learning program for all students involves gradually increasing academic challenges and a wider range of course choices, and students are expected to be more independent and self-directed in their learning and study habits.
The Senior School seeks to give all students the opportunity to attain the requirements for their future studies, whether tertiary or vocational. Boys are encouraged to strive to achieve their personal potential both within and outside the classroom.
Higher responsibilities and leadership opportunities are offered to all boys in preparation for student leadership positions and roles in Year 12, although all senior students are considered leaders.
Hale School also offers mentoring opportunities with staff and alumni in the senior years, which help the students to establish important connections and prepare for life after school. For many graduates, the connections they make with fellow Haleians provide a social and career network for life.
