YEAR 7 GRANDPARENTS’ AND SPECIAL FRIENDS’ DAY

October 17, 2025

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of our students, so it was a real highlight to welcome them to campus as our Year 7s kicked off Term 4 with a morning of fun and connection for Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. This much loved event once again brought generations together and filled the school with a warm sense of pride and happiness as the boys eagerly shared their world with their guests.

The day began with a special assembly, where several boys spoke beautifully about the people who mean the most to them. They talked about the time they spend together, favourite traditions and the strong bonds they share. One particularly special moment came from Year 7 student, Hunter, who shared the values he has learned from his four grandparents and the confidence they give him to simply be himself.

After the assembly, the boys collected their guests and took great pride in showing them around the campus, pointing out favourite spots like the lake, the Pavilion and the swimming pools. Back in their classrooms, the fun continued with friendly games of Connect 4 and chess, lots of laughs during rounds of charades, quiet moments reading together and a spirited paper plane competition that had everyone smiling.

The morning wrapped up with a relaxed morning tea, where guests continued chatting and soaking in the atmosphere. Many grandparents commented on how grown up and confident the boys seemed, and there were a few happy tears along the way as families paused to enjoy just being together.
