Speaker: Dr Suzy Killmister
Dr Killmister is an Associate Professor and the Head of Philosophy at Monash University.
While dehumanisation is one of the worst things that can be done to a person, examples of it are not hard to find, even here in Australia. Dehumanisation can come in many different forms, and this makes it difficult to identify a root cause or to develop tools to prevent it. During this public lecture, Dr Killmister will explore what it means to say that someone has been “dehumanised”, and the political implications of how this question is answered.
Thursday 7 August, 7.30pm – 8.15pm, followed by a Q&A
Cygnet Theatre, Hale School

Refreshments will be served after the lecture.
