Garland Festival, Sunday 2 August, 10.00am – 3.00pm

The Garland Music Festival is an annual eisteddfod for Hale School music students established by Lady Lyn Garland in 1977. The aim of the festival is to encourage students to perform as an instrumentalist or vocalist in friendly competition with their peers and to watch each other’s performances.
Students, family, and friends are encouraged to watch and enjoy performances in various sessions throughout the day. A semi-final performance for the Year 7, Year 8 and 9 divisions will also be held during the day to determine the overall winner for these sections.
Garland Finals Concert, Wednesday 5 August, 7.00pm
John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre, Auditorium
Following the festival day, the Garland Finals Concert will be held in the Auditorium and feature the following performers:
- Top three performers from Junior School
- Winner of the Junior School ensemble
- Winner of the Year 7 Shield
- Winner of the David Bean Cup
- Winners of each of the senior sections
The overall Garland Music Prize winner will be announced at the end of the concert.
