In major cities around the world, Monday nights are renowned as the “off night” when professional theatre musicians, from Broadway to the West End and even here in Perth, come together to play in jazz big bands. On Monday 22 June, Hale Jazz will proudly follow this tradition, giving our students the unique opportunity to perform in a real jazz club, located in the basement of His Majesty’s Theatre. Just as importantly, the evening allows our young musicians to hear one another perform in a professional setting, learning from their peers while sharing their music with family, friends, and the wider community.

The night will feature a showcase of senior school ensembles, including the Saxophone Quartet, Jazz Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Blast Off!, Big Band 1, Big Band 2, and our premier ensemble, the Hale Jazz Orchestra. Tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly, and we warmly encourage families to book early to support our musicians on this special night.
