Through the energy of Bishop Hale and his Christian values, Hale School came into existence to serve the needs of the fledgling city of Perth and the State of Western Australia. For over 150 years, Hale has continued to provide an education from an Anglican perspective.
Our Chaplains advocate, support and develop the Christian values within the school and community by interacting with boys and their families, and meeting people at many different stages of their personal journey.
Our current School Chaplain, Reverend Eleanor O’Donnell, continues to gather the Hale School community around the traditions of the Anglican Church. Hale students attend Chapel services as part of their regular timetable, the seasons of the church year and key Christian festivals informing the pattern of worship.

The Chapel of St Mark stands just within the school gates off Hale Road. Our chapel is available to Old Haleians and their children for baptisms, confirmation, weddings and funerals by arrangement with our Chaplain. The Hale community is also invited to attend our monthly Family Chapel Services, which begin at 5.00pm. After Family Chapel those gathered are welcome to join us for dinner in the Dining Hall. The dates for these services in 2020 are:
