DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr Suzy Killmister\nDr Killmister is an Associate Professor and the Head of Philosophy at Monash University. \n\nWhile dehumanisation is one of the worst things that can be done to a person\, examples of it are not hard to find\, even here in Australia. Dehumanisation can come in many different forms\, and this makes it difficult to identify a root cause or to develop tools to prevent it. We are also incredibly excited to have renowned director Adam Mitchell join us for this project. With an extensive portfolio that spans across Australia\, including work with the prestigious Black Swan State Theatre Company\, Adam’s direction has brought a new level of artistry and expertise to this production. We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him. \nThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time\, a play by Simon Stephens based on the novel by Mark Haddon\, follows the story of 15-year-old Christopher\, who discovers his neighbour’s dog\, Wellington\, dead in their front yard.
