Clubs and Societies
Our extensive range of clubs and societies form an important part of the co-curricular life of the School. Some clubs enable small groups to follow a particular interest under expert staff guidance; others focus on academic development and extension. Many involve competition within Hale and against other schools and institutions domestically and globally.
Is your son interested in film making or sound engineering? Then he would relish our film club and theatrical technicians club exposing him to our West End and Broadway trained staff, who share their wealth of experiences and knowledge. Or does he want to be the next Neil Perry? Then our cooking club may just the place where that journey starts!
Hale School is proud to offer The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The Award is an exciting worldwide self-development programme for young people aged between 14 – 25 years. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award has three levels, each with four Sections – Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and an Adventurous Journey (a fifth Section for Gold level – Residential Project). Each year the Award gives thousands of young people the chance to set and achieve personal challenges and to prove to themselves they can succeed in anything they turn their hand to. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is recognised by Government and industry and is a valuable achievement to have listed in a resume. It is also a School Curriculum and Standards Authority endorsed programme.
