On Saturday 5 May, Hale School hosted the first ever ‘Skydive for 5’, a new, unique and daring event in support of the five main charities the School supports: Nulsen Disability Services, Ronald McDonald House, Muscular Dystrophy WA, Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Salvation Army.
Four Hale staff members and two successful auction bidders tandem jumped onto Craig Oval, alongside two live air stunts by professional skydivers. This was unprecedented at a school, in the metropolitan area and over controlled airspace. Apart from providing an exhilarating morning for the jumpers and the thousands of spectators who turned up to support them, this unique event raised $25,000 for the five charities involved.
Skydive for 5 was proudly supported by Rotary WA and iFLY Perth indoor skydiving centre.
