Senior School

Home

Hale Senior School is a community of approximately 1,000 boys, their parents and some 120 teaching staff.

Situated in the central and southern section of the School's campus, the Senior School facilities include specialised and general classroom blocks, excellent science laboratories, a modern design and technology building, the superb music and drama centre and a specialised art department. The Memorial Hall and main quadrangle provide a welcoming focus for all boys.

The adjacent playing fields and other sporting facilities, including the 50 metre swimming pool and a well appointed gymnasium, complete an outstanding environment in which to learn and play.

Hale School provides an educational environment in which worthwhile pursuits and enriching human relationships flourish. It is a place where wholehearted, enthusiastic involvement in, and commitment to a balanced variety of endeavours occur. Boys are encouraged to strive to achieve their potential both within and outside of the classroom, but great care is taken to preserve the sensitive and gracious aspects of life.

The School has a strong academic bias and is proud of the consistently high proportion of its boys (around 80%) who progress to universities and other tertiary institutions. One of the major objectives of the Senior School is to give all boys the opportunity to qualify for tertiary studies.
