9-year-old Bruno is growing up in Berlin during World War II. But when his family moves to Auschwitz following his father’s promotion to Commandant in the Nazi regime, his life changes forever. Upon arriving at his new home, curiosity strikes Bruno and he meets young Schmuel, a Jewish boy, on the other side of a fence. As their friendship grows, Bruno soon finds that his curiosity may just get the better of him and discovers more about the boy in the striped pyjamas…

Directed by year 12 student Connor Delves, The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas is a powerful look at the nature of friendship and family set against the backdrop of World War II Germany and is sure to be a highlight of the redfoot 2013 production season.

Runs Thursdays from 3:45 to 5:15pm

Thursdays @ redfoot is a series of workshops that will run throughout 2013 and will offer all redfoot members in years 7 to 12 the opportunity to experience different areas of theatre and develop new skills. The workshops will cover everything from movement skills to auditioning techniques and even acting for film.

This year’s Thursdays @ redfoot workshop series is unique in that each weekly workshop runs individually. This means that each week will offer a different skill, and while you may not be interested in all of the topics, you can choose exactly which workshops you would like to do!

To register for Thursdays @ redfoot, please download the Semester 1 workshop program and select which workshops you'd like to do, then email your preferences to the redfoot's administrator, Taran Dunn at tarand@hale.wa.edu.au.
