News Date: 12/09/2012 12:00 PM

At the commencement of the three day exhibition this week, the Hale School community was treated to a cocktail opening and fabulous display of student art in the foyer of the John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre last night.

Hale Art Teacher, Michael O’Connell, opened the  2012 Student Art Exhibition with over 200 guests in attendance. The exhibition showcases 2D and 3D artworks from students in Year 7 through to Year 12. The exhibition opening was  a great success with a tangible sense of pride amongst the boys. Both teachers and boys received plenty of positive feedback throughout the evening on skill and creativity of the artworks on display. In his opening address Michael congratulated all boys on their work making a special mention of the standard and creativity of the Year 12 work.

Thanks to ‘Lizzie Bee’ Florist Dalkeith for their stunning floral arrangement and the Hale Art Committee for their financial contribution to the Art Department ensuring the purchase of specialist equipment.
