The PSA surfing competition was held on the Friday of the Boarders long weekend. The Junior divisions had perfect early morning conditions but unfortunately the wind came in and the surf deteriorated for the Seniors.
Year 10s Jake Metcalfe, Scott Rudd and Oliva Callisto all won their divisions in the Junior Body Boarding. Senior body boarder Nathan Stowe won his division. The Long Boarding event ended up being the decider for the competition and choppy conditions didn’t deter Year 10 Luke Burton from showing some exciting skills.
Hale came second overall by 3 points in a close finish to Scotch. Thanks to Mr Charlie Liggins who organised the training sessions and led the team to a very close second place.
