House Arts Cup Day is quite unique to Hale School as a boys’ school event. To have every boy in the Senior School perform in their House Choir, while more specialised groups of boys play in House bands, or turn their artistic talents to theme based mural painting or collages in the quadrangle, provides a rather special atmosphere to the school environment.
The efforts of the boys and staff involved were outstanding and many parents who came to watch (either with or without their son’s permission) were mightily impressed with the day’s proceedings. Honours on the day were shared with the voting being split in more than one category.
