Hale Junior School Boys are Sun Smart Triathlon Winners

The Sun Smart Triathlon is an event for Primary School students conducted by School Sport WA, in partnership with Triathlon WA. This is a team event with three competitors in each team. Each member will complete one leg of the triathlon (swim, cycle, run). 

This year the Primary Schools were lucky enough to use the ITU (International Triathlon Union) Long Distance World Championships in Langley Park foreshore ahead of the world championships.

Hale Junior School was awarded the Champion School.

The boys were lucky enough to have Ironman Hawaii winner and Australian hero Craig Alexander present them with their medals and trophy.

The Champion School award is calculated according to the following criteria; Schools must enter a minimum of five teams (regardless of division nominated.) At least one school team must compete in Division A. The winning school is calculated according to the lowest combined time for its five fastest teams.
