So far, 2009 has been an exciting year for PSA Sport at Hale, winning the Darlot Cup, the Brother Redmond Cup and the Alcock Cup.
The Alcock Cup is a shared win with Aquinas, as both sides lost only two games over the duration of the season and percentages were not accounted for. The Hale First XVIIIs sadly lost their last game on the weekend to Trinity by a nail-biting two points, with the winning goal scored by Trinity in the final minutes.
The Brother Redmond Cup has been won by Hale nine times in the last eleven years and eighteen times in all, making a PSA Schools' Record. The rugby boys were presented at Tuesday’s Assembly with the Brother Redmond Cup and their medals, by Headmaster Mr Meade, who not only congratulated them on their respective wins, but also on their ability to organise their many school commitments, and outstanding sportsmanship at all fixtures.
